Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a systemic autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation and affects all the major organs of the body. Being a systemic inflammatory disorder, lupus commonly presents a multitude of symptoms.
SLE is much more prevalent in females than males, possibly due to differences in sex hormone metabolism. Actually, it’s quite rare for a man to be diagnosed with it.
In this video, shared by Sheyenne Lovato, she talks about her life with lupus, her diagnosis, and what type of treatment she’s been going through. It’s not easy to live with such a disease, but she also shares a message of hope to everyone that might be going through the same thing.
