Sassi Rae is a beauty vlogger who also talks a lot about her life with lupus. In this video, Sassi shares five facts about lupus.

Sassi explains that ultraviolet (UV) light can be very harmful to lupus sufferers and they should avoid UV rays from the sun and from indoor UV lighting.  She also talks about some of the overlapping chronic conditions lupus patients may also suffer from, how lupus is often misdiagnosed and how many people go for years without realizing they have the disease.

She ends the video by stressing that despite what many people think, lupus is not contagious. You can’t catch it from someone, or indeed pass it on to someone.
