Lupus sufferer Amira explains just how much her life has changed since her diagnosis. 

Monique was diagnosed with lupus two months before her wedding after suffering from symptoms for more than a year. Since then she’s spent a lot of time in the hospital being treated for lupus-related issues including problems with her kidneys and heart.

In the video, Monique explains how the disease has impacted her life and how she manages the condition on a day-to-day basis. She explains that lupus doesn’t just affect your body, it can also affect your finances, your social life, and your emotional health—in short, your whole life.
