Selena Gomez Makes Large Donation for Lupus Research

Hollywood star Selena Gomez has been very vocal about her fight with lupus and has now decided to donate towards important lupus research.

The 24-year-old has set up the Selena Gomez Fund for Lupus Research. The proceeds will go to the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine’s research program which investigates lupus complications and how to treat them.

Gomez has been vocal about her struggles with lupus, and in 2016, she canceled her world tour to take time off due to lupus-related depression following chemotherapy treatment. She has been an advocate for the disease since and regularly takes time to raise awareness. Find out more about her donation here.
